iOS 9.2 Jailbreak Release Could Arrive Sooner Than Expected
An iOS 9.2 jailbreak release has yet to arrive, but thanks to the iOS 9.3 beta, it’s likely that we’ll see an iOS 9.2 jailbreak sooner than we may have expected.
It’s a confusing time for iOS software right now. iOS 9.2 is the latest version that’s available to the public. However, there are two different beta versions available right now. iOS 9.2.1 is in beta mode, but a public release should come any day now.
Then there’s iOS 9.3, which was unveiled earlier this week, along with the first beta. iOS 9.3 will be a big update, as it comes with a handful of new features, including a new Night Shift night mode, as well as Touch ID and passcode support for the Notes app.
These two betas have us thinking about two different jailbreaks now. We could see an iOS 9.2 jailbreak next, or it could wait and we might see an iOS 9.3 jailbreak in the future. The question is which one we’ll see get a release.
We’ve talked a lot about an iOS 9.2 jailbreak, and it’s already been teased by a developer who claims to have jailbroken the latest version, which means that an iOS 9.2 jailbreak exists in some form, and it’s likely that TaiG or Pangu have one ready in the chamber.
With the release of the iOS 9.3 beta, though, many users have been worried that this could push back the release of a jailbreak even more, but that likely won’t be the case.
It’s likely that we won’t see a jailbreak until iOS 9.2.1 officially releases to the public, but that should happen any day now. We wouldn’t be surprised to see iOS 9.2.1 release within this month or even as early as next week.
At that point, an iOS 9.2 jailbreak should follow shortly afterward, meaning that we could see an iOS 9.2 jailbreak as early as next week, which is pretty exciting to think about.
It’s highly unlikely that TaiG or Pangu would skip the iOS 9.2 jailbreak and work on an iOS 9.3 jailbreak, simply because a final public release for iOS 9.3 is likely at least a couple of months away. It will be a big update and will probably go through several beta versions, as many as four or five.
However, it’s important to think about the possibility that iOS 9.3 may not patch up any jailbreak exploits, which could entice dev teams to hold their jailbreaks until iOS 9.3 is officially released, but again, I feel that the official release of iOS 9.3 is so far out, that waiting just wouldn’t be worth it. Rather, it would be better to release an iOS 9.2 jailbreak, let Apple patch it up in iOS 9.3, and then find a new exploit in iOS 9.3.
Of course, there’s no way to get inside the heads of TaiG or Pangu, so I’m not really sure what they plan on doing, but my guess is that we’ll see an iOS 9.2 jailbreak whenever iOS 9.2.1 officially releases.
After all, we’ve gone long enough without a new jailbreak. The last time a jailbreak was released was back in October when the first iOS 9 jailbreak came out for iOS 9.0. Since then, iOS 9.1 and iOS 9.2 have released, both of which are unjailbreakable at this point.

Activator
One of the most popular jailbreak tweaks of all time is Activator, and it's easy to see why. Activator allows you to set up automations as well as shortcuts for all sorts of different actions, like automatically turning on your alarms for the next day and even changing songs using the volume buttons.
AppDrawer
One of the best features of Android is the app drawer, where all of your installed apps appear when you bring it up. Something like this is awesome, since you don't have to have all of your apps on the home screen, and now the feature is on iOS through Cydia thanks to AppDrawer.
Browser Changer
Do you use a web browser on your iPhone other than Safari? Then it might be nice to actually change iOS's default browser to your preferred one using Browser Changer. This means that any links from other apps will now open in the web browser of your choice and not just default to Safari.
Bytafont 3
iOS 9 comes with the new San Francisco font, but if you're not a huge fan of it, you can use Bytafont 3 to change the font to whatever you want. The possibilities are endless here.
DeleteForever
Not a big fan of the Recently Deleted folder in the Photos app? While there isn't an iOS 9 Cydia tweak to get rid of the folder, you can at least bypass it altogether when deleting a photo.
DeleteForever will allow you to permanently delete photos with one swoop, rather than deleting a photo and then having to delete it again from the Recently Deleted folder.
